Death and Marriage is a farce set in the Mid 1800's in Russia. Nebbish fool Boris is in love with Anna, who also happens to the Czar's daughter. The Czar thinks Boris a fool, which, in fact, is his job. The only sensible outcome, they both feel, is to kill the Czar and then marry. After much time, there is, in fact, a death, but not of whom one might think.
